Twenty-One SE Third Street Building

Office Building

This addition to the city’s skyline was originally a three-story, nondescript 1960’s office building. The challenge met in this project was to add six floors to the original three and provide an entirely new building envelope. In addition, a landscaped pedestrian plaza and a forty-car visitor parking court were also added.

At street level, the structure’s envelope reflects the design of the existing bank building’s Italian Renaissance inspiration, and the brick facade of the upper floors complement the area’s traditional masonry heritage. The first and second floor of the building consist of a bank, offices, and support spaces which is connected by an atrium. The remaining seven floors are offices that have been renovated over the years for various tenants. Most of the upper levels offer stunning views of the Ohio River and downtown.
