Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, along with Evansville native Olympian Lilly King and several city officials, celebrated the ground breaking for the new $28 million aquatic center for the City of Evansville. Plans for the new facility that is being constructed in Garvin Park will include a recreational pool, an outdoor splash pad, and a competitive pool. The community is looking forward to seeing the construction progress of this state-of-the-art aquatic center. It is expected to be complete in the Spring of 2021.
