Jack Faber, AIA

Principal, Architect + Designer

Jack’s early career began as an Assistant Professor of Design in Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning. But, he could not hold back his desire to design projects that have a positive impact on the real world so he joined the industry as a designer first working in Indianapolis. After marrying his wife, Laura, and having 2 children, the Faber’s relocated to Evansville to be close to family. This is when Jack’s career began with Hafer.

Jack is one of the most creative, “think outside of the box” designers in the area. If you don’t believe us, you should check out his impressive list of achievements including multiple AIA design awards, an Emmy Award for Technical Achievement, and the designation as reigning champ of the Design Slam competition the past three years at the American Institute of Architects Ohio Valley Convention, just to name a few.

Jack is fueled by a desire for design excellence and a belief that every project begins with a story. He understands the importance of storytelling in designing authentic, engaging experiences. He finds joy in having the opportunity to truly improve lives of the people who live, work and inhabit the environments he creates.

He serves as a mentor to young designers both in and outside the firm and finds time to give back to his community. His recent involvement includes Rotary Club, The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, American Institute of Architects, and Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to Jack’s many talents, we have recently learned that he taught himself how to juggle, and he can wiggle his ears. We may just put these skills to good use at the next summer picnic.
