Newlife Rescue & Adoption

Guided by the belief that every animal deserves a safe and loving family, Newlife Rescue & Adoption bridges the path between rescue and finding an animal’s fur-ever home with their functional new facility.

The bright, clean and welcoming space sets the tone for visitors to make four-legged friends as soon as they step in the door. Connected to the lobby, a glass-walled cat den allows curious felines to stretch and roam freely, and an individual room allows for one-on-one cuddles and play. Spacious indoor-outdoor kennels feature dog doors for canines to easily access fresh air on warm days or stay inside on cool ones, and fenced outdoor areas allow them to stretch their legs or play a game of fetch with volunteers and adopters.

The facility also includes support spaces for volunteers and staff, including an office, laundry and supply rooms, and a small kitchenette. Roof-mounted solar panels support energy efficiency, and additional heating and cooling units separate air circulation between cats, dogs and support staff spaces. Canine noise distractions were mitigated by creating vestibules to kennel spaces, and by distancing kennels and staff offices.

Now open, Newlife's new location is improving quality of life for animals and the people who rescue them.
