Bethel Manor

The Rehab Cottage at Bethel

Bethel Manor is a rehabilitation and nursing home nestled into Evansville’s north side. With a desire to provide patient centered healthcare, Bethel Manor decided to build a small house skilled nursing facility next to their current facility. The small house concept provides a transitional healthcare setting for patients who need rehabilitation for an extended period of time. It is licensed as a nursing home and provides 12 private bedrooms with private baths in a home-like environment. Residents can live, sleep, and eat just as comfortably as if they were at home on their own schedule.

Designed to look residential, this Craftsmen-style small house is the third of its kind in the State of Indiana and the first in Southern Indiana. The home features a shared kitchen with a large dining room and pantry connected to the living room. Additional spaces include a hair salon, therapy room, laundry room, nurse office, and library that features a centralized outdoor courtyard to be used year-round. An attached garage makes it convenient for the staff and family to pick-up and drop-off residents.

The addition of a small house will de-institutionalize care, providing patients with a higher quality of life, better emotional well-being and increased mobility.
