The result is a refreshed, forward-thinking space that not only supports modern workflows but celebrates the firm’s creative culture.

The new layout emphasizes openness and adaptability. Low-profile, ergonomic workstations maintain sightlines, maximize natural light and easily transition between sitting and standing. Integrated storage keeps spaces uncluttered, while centrally placed “phone booths” and conference rooms strike the perfect balance between open collaboration and private focus. Sliding-door storage cabinets double as whiteboards and pin-up surfaces, ideal for design charettes, brainstorming and visual collaboration.

Hafer’s signature green infuses energy and brand identity throughout, grounded by a deep blue and warm wood tones. Each room is named with an “H” — some nodding to design disciplines, others to Hafer’s one-of-a-kind culture — while bold wall graphics spark creativity and reinforce the firm’s mission. Biophilic touches, from a striking green-wall art piece to natural textures and abundant daylight, create a sense of calm and connection to nature, enhancing wellbeing across the office.

Beyond the workstations, the renovation introduces spaces to play and recharge. A bright, welcoming break room encourages community, while a versatile game room adds a playful twist with a convertible meeting/ping-pong table, movable seating, and custom-designed Scrabble and checkers games.
