Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum

Dedicated to celebrating and preserving the history of bluegrass music, the state-of-the-art Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is located along Owensboro’s scenic riverfront. The building is designed to serve as an iconic destination drawing in Bluegrass fans from around the world and inspiring future generations of musicians.

The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum features a 450-seat theatre, outdoor stage, and private event space. Doubling the museum’s previous square footage, visitors have a chance to experience interactive exhibits, live performances, artwork, and more. To honor bluegrass music’s historical greats, the only Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in the country is located here. The exterior was designed with a mix of wood, stone and metal that is reminiscent of Bluegrass Music rural roots. In addition, the sweeping curved façade suggests the shape of a musical base cleft.

Since opening, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s concerts and performances have been a smashing success with sold out concerts and performances. This iconic building is now a top tourist attraction for the City.
