Boys & Girls Club of Evansville

The Boys and Girls Club of Evansville is a facility that offers children a place to learn and play in a safe environment. The original facility was relocated to a site at Bellemeade Park which had over 4,300 children living within a one-mile radius. The Carver Ridley Rollerdome was repurposed in the expansion and renovation of this Boys & Girls Club.

The new facility was designed so it is visible to the public and provides a safe, secure place for children. The bold design involves the use of lively colors and resilient materials in an open layout that allows children to freely travel between activity rooms without overcrowding or congestion. The enriching, interior space includes flexible furniture to allow for multiple uses. The building features a gymnasium with two full basketball courts, a tech center, multiple game rooms for different age groups, a fitness center, a library, classrooms with art and music equipment, and a lounge area with concessions.

Since the opening of the new facility, membership has increased dramatically and the local children experienced an immediate positive impact from this project.
