OFS Brands

OFS Brands, a furniture manufacturer in Huntingburg, Indiana, wanted to showcase their company’s sustainability and craftsmanship in a meaningful way to their clients. They hired Hafer to create a master plan of the property they purchased near their corporate headquarters so they could take clients to educate and entertain them. As part of this master plan, Hafer designed a Horse Barn and Maintenance Facility, Marina, and Overlook.

The Horse Barn was the first building constructed as part of this inspired complex. It houses a riding area, horse stalls, hay loft and two apartments. The maintenance garage houses several ATV’s, tractors and equipment used for the upkeep of the 1,000 acres that Cool Springs encompasses. It has achieved LEED Silver Certification.

The Marina sits on a lakeside and boasts a large dock with a peaceful sitting area and firepit. The Marina is used for maintenance and storage of canoes, kayaks and fishing gear and includes an emergency generator to run all the facilities at Cool Springs if needed. It also provides a beautiful, natural setting where meetings and presentations can take place and clients can be served cocktails and dinner.

The Overlook was the most recent addition to the Cool Springs Campus. It is an outdoor pavilion that includes a fully functioning bar with a flat-screen TV, a gas fire pit overlooking the lake, and a covered dining area with a stone fireplace and pizza oven. It also includes a separate structure with showers as well as outdoor sinks with a framed view of nature.

Cool Springs has proven to be a success for OFS Brands. Their clients enjoy visiting the campus and have a deeper understanding of the spirit and direction of the company.
