Welborn Clinic

Welborn Clinic opened this new Gateway Health Center in one of the area's fastest growing development hubs. The Clinic offers primary care, multiple specialty care, and extensive on site diagnostic services, serving more than 300 patients a day. In addition to family medicine and pediatrics, 10 specialty services are offered here including the region's first Center for Urological Health for Incontinence and Bladder Health and a vision center offering Lasik eye surgery. The facility also offers urgent care for evenings and weekends with "call ahead" appointments.

The building is seen across a lake from a heavily traveled expressway, so patients can easily identify their destination. Rich brick masonry and limestone was used in order to contrast with the predominant campus context of precast concrete and white metal panel facades. Incorporating these contrasting materials makes the building distinct and unique. The use of glass curtain walls bring natural light deep into the building interior and provides views of the surrounding campus.

The interior finishes were selected to impart a fresh, modern feel but with comfortable, long lasting materials and furniture for a busy medical office. Patients have enjoyed the new medical office and physicians and staff are pleased with the exciting new workspace.
