Victory Theatre

Renovation and Restoration

The Victory Theatre opened in 1921. It featured a daily program of four vaudeville acts, a movie, a comedy routine, organ music, and a ten piece orchestra. Over the years, the historic building fell to disarray. Hafer was hired to restore its former glory through an expansive renovation. The aspiration of creating a graceful flair of nostalgia from the 1920’s was carefully captured as the intricate details were brought back to life throughout the 1,950-seat venue. The building’s original volume was not structured well for an acoustic hall, but Hafer was able to install a special sound reinforcement system to ensure quality sound throughout. A building addition houses support spaces such as a lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms and dressing rooms. Now, people gather at the theater to not only enjoy the historic character, but also the captivating sounds.
