Tropicana Evansville

Hotel Renovation

Since constructed in 1997, a renovation of Tropicana Evansville’s Hotel had not taken place and it was in need of a fresh, modern look. The goal was to change the overall image of the hotel from traditional to contemporary within a short timeframe while keeping the hotel in operation. In order to do this, three floors were taken out of commission for two to three weeks at a time to be renovated.

Now complete, the guest rooms on all nine floors feature a vivid color scheme along with fresh, new durable materials and amenities. Restrooms in each room contain new glass enclosures and shower doors, vanities, light fixtures, tile showers, and tile floors. In all, 242 guest rooms were remodeled which include 175 Queen Rooms, 57 King Rooms, and 10 Suites. The exterior was also repainted to complement the beautiful scenery of the Ohio River and updates were made to stop water infiltration into the building.
